Privacy
What Matnly keeps, for how long, and how deletion works.
Storage periods
- Original files are deleted 24 hours after upload.
- Text and results are kept for 30 days after the last successful action.
- Encrypted backups are kept for 7 days. They do not include original files.
- PDF passwords are not stored.
External processing
- External AI services recognize the pages. They also make translations, summaries and answers.
Deletion
- You delete a document on its page and your account on the account page.
- Deletion closes access at once. Physical cleanup can take longer.
- If the server is lost completely before a deletion reaches the external journal, deleted data can return when a backup is restored.
- While the journal is unavailable, this period has no guaranteed upper limit.
